Mente Argentina: Emergency Housing Construction Position

Provide hands-on assistance to an international aid organization that builds emergency housing for impoverished families. Contribute to a volunteer team through a variety of activities including physically constructing much-needed shelters, conducting site visits and community observations in the field, and making decisions about needs and resources.

Gain an intricate understanding of the construction and development process and become familiar with the forces of supply and demand that influence community construction. Participants will obtain a rich knowledge of the multiple levels of organization required to facilitate these types of projects and gain insight into the functioning of a well-established NGO.
