Virtual Internships with Meiji Internships

As going to Japan is not possible at the moment, I decided to do a remote internship. I had a really good experience with a Japanese company located in Tokyo. They taught me about marketing via the internet and it worked suprisingly well! The internship just ended last week and I can tell that I feel more confident, skilled and mature even thought I didn't even leave my house. That's incredible! Some of my friends are complaining because they are getting bored staying at home, but the lockdown situation was completely different for me! I am glad that I could use this precious time to gain knowledge about my field of interest. It is SO important to stay active especially in this situation and I can highly recommend this online programme. The Meiji staff was always kind and supportive. They were easy to reach at any time even though it might've been hard for them to deal with the coronavirus situation. The company I interned with was also amazing. I could feel the Japanese "omotenashi" even from here!

Because of the virus, I thought I had to completely cancel my internship, but Meiji Internships offered me a great opportunity: a virtual internship! Taking this opportunity was the best decision I made for a long time. Online internships means no worries about being far from home and family, or about cooking by myself everyday. Instead, I could focus on my work and learn even faster. My company was a Korean marketing company. I thought communication would be complicated, but on the contrary, they were reachable very easily (even considering the time difference), and I could build a good relationship with my colleagues. I got skills that apply to many jobs so I'm very satisfied with my experience!

I did an online internship with a Japanese marketing company. I had a very good experience and I learned many marketing strategies and concepts. Meiji Internships is an amazing agency! There are very responsive and fully engaged in their work. They helped me prepare for the online interview with my host company and even helped me rewrite my CV. I am a bit shy so it was stressful for me to meet with Japanese people, but thanks to Meiji's valuable advice, I successfully passed my first interview! I am not ready to go to Japan without my family so this online internship was the perfect way to have some work experience without being in any kind of situation that might make me feel anxious or uncomfortable.
