Meiji Academy - Japanese Online Lessons

Learning Japanese from home is so convenient! I live in the countryside far away from any Japanese schools so I was only learning by myself... until I found out that I can apply to online classes! I am in contact with a Japanese girl that I met via instagram, and she said that she was impressed by my skill advancement. My teachers also supported me immensely. I am so grateful to Meiji Academy for helping me and advising me with lots of care and kindness. I hope I can travel to Japan soon, when I am done with uni. Until then, I will keep practicing my Japanese everyday and prepare for the day I can finally visit the Meiji staff and teachers in Japan

Due to the pandemic situation, I decided to apply for an online Japanese course instead of travelling to Japan which is impossible at the moment. I could feel that the teachers and the staff from Meiji Academy made considerable efforts to live up to the students expectations. I appreciated that the study program was flexible. We could work on whatever I needed or wanted and my teachers were always adapting to me and my own weaknesses. This way, I improved incredibly quickly and I think I will be able to take the JLPT N2 next time. The test is only once a year in December so I will have to study on my own until then not to forget all I learned with Meiji! But they gave me many exercises to practice alone and review everything we studied together.

If I had known that such online programmes exist I would have applied earlier! I've been trying to learn Japanese on my own for years because I don't have any Japanese options at my university, but I felt that I was getting nowhere. I can't keep a good discipline on my own, and there were always grammar things I didn't understand, and nobody could explain it to me. But recently, a friend of mine went to Japan to study with Meiji Academy, and she told me that they also offer online courses. So I decided to apply, and it was the best decision I've made in a long time! I finally managed to progress in Japanese and I was surrounded by competent people who could answer all my questions. I really felt the difference. Now I finally have a good foundation in Japanese and I feel confident to continue working on my own so I won't forget what I have learnt. I will definitely do it again someday when I want to learn new things in Japanese.
