What degree will I obtain?

Students complete an English-taught Doctor of Medicine (MD) program delivered in Malta and awarded by Trakia University, a recognized public university within the European Union. The qualification is subject to automatic recognition across the EU under Directive 2005/36/EC, in accordance with applicable regulations.

What is the language of instruction?

The program is fully taught in English. All lectures, practical sessions, assessments, and academic materials are delivered in English throughout the entire course.

Who can apply, and are there any entrance exams?

Applicants must hold a secondary school diploma with Biology and Chemistry (or equivalent subjects) in at least one transcript and demonstrate English proficiency. Admission includes an online entrance examination consisting of 75 multiple-choice questions: 50 in Biology and 25 in Chemistry, designed to assess academic readiness for medical studies.

When does the program start and where will I study?

The MD program offers an annual intake at the end of September and is available year-round. Teaching takes place at MediCampus Europeo in Malta, with access to lecture halls, laboratories, anatomy facilities, and digital learning platforms. Clinical training is conducted through teaching hospitals and clinical rotations in leading European hospitals of excellence.
