Women's Empowerment Outreach Program in Arusha

No prior experience is required. Volunteers join as capacity builders and collaborators working under the guidance of Tanzanian coordinators and trainers. A respectful, open-minded attitude and willingness to support — not lead — is what matters most.

Volunteers may assist with literacy and business communication sessions, help design promotional materials for women's businesses, support income tracking, join community outreach visits, and help organize showcase days and sales events. All activities are carried out in support of local trainers.

Volunteers stay in a shared guesthouse with secure rooms, comfortable bedding, two meals per day (breakfast and dinner Monday–Friday), laundry and housekeeping assistance, 24-hour gated security, and on-site coordination support.

Yes, a Tanzanian volunteer visa or permit is required. The program team provides guidance on obtaining it after you complete your registration.

Success is tracked through the number of women earning a consistent income, women who open or expand microbusinesses, increases in household savings and food security, reduced dependence on unsafe work, daughters kept in school, and women who go on to mentor others in their community.
