Program Overview

This company is Africa’s most widely scoped ISO 17025:2017 materials and metallurgical testing laboratory with over 1400 clients globally. They have a team of materials engineers and metallurgists who provide specialized services, including advanced testing and consulting. Their highly creative, vibrant, and well-trained engineers take pride in their ability to solve highly technical problems, especially in investigating root cause failure. They apply high-level technical skills to everyday engineering problems.

Interns work in a fully equipped mechanical testing laboratory with expert technicians and engineers. The allocation of tasks depends on specific fields of study, but the company generally accepts qualified Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering students. They also welcome individuals with experience in quality control and project-based work. Interns receive supervision from a qualified engineer and gain competency in all areas of mechanical testing methodologies and root cause failure analysis.

South africa

I was in south Africa at cape town for 3 mounts for my engenering school in France. I lived incredible moments with people who live in cape town. I hope of this experience i learn many things in the company where i pass my 3 mounths.

Cape Town or my favorite place ever

This was one of the best experiences I had in my life : the internship in itself was good, the tasks didn’t interest me much but my coworkers were amazing; the accommodation (Bowden House) was okay, it was close to my company and the supermarket and I loved the neighbourhood, but the wifi wasn’t really working, we had to go buy electricity every now and then, and it didn’t have any AC so the whole place was very humid; but what makes the trip worth it was the people. I had lots of friends, and the city is wonderful : you can go hike, see the sunset, play beach volley in Camps bay, surf in Muizenberg, see the penguins, the dolphins, the whales, taste some wine, go out in bars for the fist Thursdays of every month and hop on a safari trip for the weekend. The two people that took care of us via Magister, Nicky and Michael, were really cool and offered a lot of activities so you can visit and meet other foreigners like you and make friends. I can’t recommend Cape Town enough as I fell in love with this city.
