Most of the medical projects that we support are government-funded local clinical facilities for people who cannot afford private medical care, and are severely understaffed and underfunded, with a lack of vital resources. Therefore, volunteers must be aware that this can be a very stressful and challenging environment to work in, though, as it is very community-based, this is also a very rewarding project to be a part of, and is set in amazing Cape Town, in the shadow of the majestic Table Mountain.
