Education for Children Living on the Streets in India

Sadly, India has an estimated 100 million or more children without homes and access to basic education. They spend most of their time searching the streets for food or anything valuable to sell. The sprawling and crowded capital alone, Delhi, has nearly 175,000 street children, with 7-10% having fled their poverty-stricken families who couldn't afford to feed them. Forced to fend for themselves, these vulnerable kids are the worst affected by the cycle of poverty gripping this great nation.

Thus, the participation and assistance of international volunteers are invaluable. They help provide basic education, guidance, support, and most importantly love and attention – something every child desires and deserves. Through this crucial program, participants bring smiles to the faces of severely disadvantaged children. They create an environment conducive to holistic development, enabling Delhi's youth to become a part of mainstream society and toward a long, happy life.
