Childcare and Development in Vietnam
Program Overview
This program will warm the heart of any international volunteer who loves working with children and helping those in real need. The placement is in the largest city in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh, a bustling metropolis jam-packed with culture and sights. From street food vendors selling local fare (all travelers must try the delicious ‘pho’) to historic war sights and museums, this city truly is an amazing place to visit. Despite all these wonderful things, the most vulnerable in society are neglected. As a developing nation, poverty levels in Vietnam are high, and children suffer from a lack of nutrition, poor health, and low levels of education. International volunteers are needed for this project that works with childcare centers. Help provide quality education, shelter, care, and food to children whose parents can't cater to their daily needs. Volunteers assist local caregivers and supply much-needed labor to support these kids and provide the attention they deserve.

I've always been interested in serving people in my daily life. I wanted to gain experience doing so out of the country, and at the same time learn about their culture. I was also interested to meet international volunteers and exchange views on our traveling experiences.
