Wild Tropics: SCUBA Certification and Conservation Thailand

I had never traveled outside of my home country before coming to Thailand and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. this trip has broadened my perspective and opened my mind to a whole other world ready for me to explore. I will forever be grateful for the experiences, connections, and lessons on this amazing trip.

This marine week addition ws beyond anything I ever imagined. I learned so much about myself and how I can overcome new things along with a new found love for all things conservation. Thank you, Loop Abroad!

My time in Koh Tao, Thailand has been unbelievable! From scuba diving to snorkeling, to food, to the people, I learned so much from just being engulfed in this culture. I can't wait to share my experience with others!

I loved how the team would always check to make sure you're comfortable and they work with you. I just love the energy being brought, always very positive. Also the fact they never give up on you and encourage you to keep going and try something new that may help.

This program let me see the entirety of Thailand in two weeks and gave me the chance to do some SCUBA diving. Being able to experience Thailand and conservation efforts worldwide has been awesome. This program is just incredible and I recommend it to anyone!

These last two weeks were the best two weeks of my life. All of the conservation activities that we did, confirmed that that is something I want to do in the future. I wouldn't trade a single minute of it for the world.

This was a life-changing journey that changed my perspective and gave me once in a lifetime opportunities. Thailand is beautiful and has part of my hear and soul. I will forever be grateful to have been a part of this program.

This program was truly amazing. I learned more about conservation in two weeks than 10 years of education. All the places we went were beautiful and helped me find new paths I can potentially take for future career options.

The Wild Tropics program is so fun and an amazing experience for students. Learning how to scuba dive at the amazing Koh Tao Island is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Visiting and living with the villagers widened my perspective of the culture in Thailand. I 100% would recommend this program to any student interested in experiencing Thai culture.

If you get the opportunity to go on this trip, do it. I have learned so much about a culture I never would have otherwise. The academic portions of this trip are really interesting too. Not to mention that the locations are breathtaking!

I loved staying in the village and learning Thai culture. It was pretty difficult for me on the first day of SCUBA but the staff stayed behind with me in the pool to help me overcome my fear, they have been nothing short of amazing!

The people Loop Abroad chose for this program are amazing. Keep them here forever! This program did not just focus on vet things but also other jobs in the veterinary field, and I really appreciate that.

This journey has been truly humbling to me. I got to learn authentic Thai culture and what it is like to be a part of the culture. Visiting temples and speaking to monks all the way to hiking at the highest peak of Thailand, I would do it all over again!

Wild Tropics gave me the opportunity to emerge myself in and explore Thailand in ways I don't think would be possible traveling without Loop. I'll never forget my time here. I particularly liked staying overnight with the hill tribe.

I think everyone should go on a trip like this, I think it's important to learn about different countries and cultures. I became SCUBA certified and it really pushed me out of my comfort zone. The staff were always helpful and nice.

Loop Abroad created an amazing opportunity to have new experiences that aren't available at home. Thailand is a beautiful country with amazing people. The SCUBA diving was my favourite activity because I can't do that at home.

If you love adventure, this trip is for you. To the highest points of Chiang Mai, to the low point in Koh Tao's ocean, you see and experience so much. You get immersed in the culture and learn so many aspects of conservation.

I really enjoyed going through the process of earning and receiving my Open Water SCUBA certificate because it opened my eyes to so many new possibilities and challenged me in ways that improved my patience, mental perserverance, and problem-solving. Our program leader offered a lot of emotional support and our tour guide arranged many opportunities to eat great Thai cuisine, which made it a well-rounded experience! Thank you for helping me have a great experience!

SCUBA diving on Koh Tao was my favorite because it's amazing to see everything up close and I never thought that I would get the opportunity to experience that. The island was beautiful as well and so relaxing. Our program leader made everything about conservation fun and enjoyable. She got to know all of us personally. This trip really broadened my horizons and was just an amazing experience. I hope one day to be able to visit Thailand again.

SCUBA diving was amazing because of all the wildlife I got to see. The instructors were also very nice and made the learning process easier. Our instructor and tour guide were always helpful and available when we needed them. They educated us on all things Thailand and made all our activities more fun. I had an amazing time here and I'm so sad that I have to leave! Thank you for this great experience!

My favorite was the scientific dives. Diving was one thing but having a task as you're underwater made it even more fun! Also our data went towards conservation efforts so that was a plus. Our staff were always approachable and willing to just talk, joke around with, and share knowledge. It really made it easier to learn as much as I could about culture, history, and science - and that's the whole point!

I had a wonderful, unforgettable experience! I actually loved the Thai cooking class because it was cool learning about fresh ingredients and recipes I can bring back to my family. I also really enjoyed the elephant buddy walk because I love getting to know animal's personalities and see them be free to be who they are.

Koh Tao island was so beautiful and the SCUBA dives were amazing! Everything on the island was great. I wish I had more time, I didn't want to leave! All the staff helped to make the experience smooth and they helped us adjust to being in a new place.

All of the staff made me feel special! Our tour guide always looked out for us and made sure we were having fun. Our veterinarian leader was an amazing teacher. Thank you so much and I hope to do another program with you guys!

My favorite was the week on Koh Tao island! Our support staff were always extremely supportive and our tour guides were always educating us and making us laugh. And our program leader supported us through everything.
