This two-week Spain Pre-Vet Equine Medicine program is based at the Easy Horse Rescue Center in Rojales, Spain. The center is home to 120 rescue horses and other equids who need daily care. Together with your teaching veterinarian, you will learn about the anatomy and physiology of horses, as well as their upkeep, physical exams, dentistry, welfare, and preventative health care. In addition to learning about the horses and assisting in their care at the rescue center, you’ll get a chance to explore Spain, hang out by the beach, visit a castle, and enjoy sightseeing in local areas.
Program Highlights
Work directly with rescued horses and equids while learning daily care practices at a rescue center in Spain.
Study horse anatomy, physiology, dentistry, physical exams, welfare, and preventative healthcare alongside a teaching veterinarian.
Gain insight into rehabilitation and long-term care for rescued equines in a real sanctuary environment.

I will absolutely be doing another Loop Abroad program in the future. Our doctors and the staff were so patient and fun. The Egypt Equine Pre-vet experience was exceptional. I can't recommend it enough.
I'll be planning my third trip with Loop next year!

I really loved learning about the culture in Egypt as well as experiencing vet med. I made deep connections with the doctors as well as our group. I will be planning my third trip with Loop again next year!

Everyone was amazing. I absolutely loved all the staff on this trip. It was such a great experience to see the pyramids. The camel clinic also gave me a ton of experience I'll never forget. This trip was unforgettable.
