The Belize Crocodile and Manatee Research Fellowship allowed me to learn so much more in depth about the conservation of crocodiles and manatees. You will learn about what is affecting the ecosystem in Belize and how multiple species are being affected by this. It was really interesting to listen to Marissa and Jane talk about their past work experience in Belize and what they are currently working on. You learn a lot about how they conduct research when in the field. During some of your time as a research fellow you will review current data being collected in Belize through camera trap data and drone surveys. This fellowship is a great way to kickstart your research experience or even just to learn more about wildlife conservation.
