We specialised in short-term Japanese language courses (2-24 weeks) taught by experienced, certified teachers in small groups. Lessons focus on more than textbook grammar, so you can confidently use Japanese in real situations. Our school is based in Akashi, Hyogo - a relaxed seaside city ranked as one of the most liveable places in Japan, just one train from Osaka and Kyoto. Before starting, you will take a placement test and short interview so we can place you in the right class and tailor the experience to your level and goals. Accommodation can be arranged through Japanese host families or an international sharehouse, though you are also free to organise your own stay. Students can also join free conversation sessions, activities, and social events, making it easy to practise Japanese and make new friends! When can I begin the program?

  • You can start on any Monday throughout the year. We stay open during Japanese national holidays, so you always receive a full 5-day study week! 
  • For complete beginners, the recommended start dates in 2026 are:
    Jan 5, Feb 9, Mar 16, Apr 20, May 25, Jun 29, Aug 3, Sep 7, Oct 12, Nov 16
  • If you would like to start on a different date, we are happy to design a personalised study plan to help you catch up. 

Do I need any prior knowledge of Japanese to join?

  • We welcome students from complete beginners to advanced learners. 
  • You’ll take a short placement test and an online video call with a teacher before your course. This helps us understand your level and goals, so we can place you in the class that fits you best - right from day one.

Do I need a visa to participate in the program?

  • Most of our students join our program on a tourist visa (valid for up to 90-180 days) or a Working Holiday visa (valid for up to 1-2 years). 
  • Visa requirements vary by country, so we recommend checking with your local Japanese embassy or consulate. If you’re unsure, feel free to contact us for guidance!
