Program Overview

Join us in Arusha for a transformative after-school volunteer coaching program that empowers local youth through football! Running on weekdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, this initiative provides a remarkable opportunity to impact the lives of young athletes while fostering healthy activities after school.

As a volunteer coach, you will help youth develop their football skills, confidence, and teamwork in a positive and inclusive environment. You’ll lead dynamic training sessions focused on techniques, strategies, and sportsmanship, inspiring young players to pursue their dreams in sports or life.

During Tanzanian holidays, in June and December, we offer two daily sessions: in the morning, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and evening, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This expansion allows even more youth to benefit from your mentorship.

Your guidance will assist them in setting goals, overcoming challenges, and building resilience—essential life skills. Engage with local families and the community to highlight the power of sports for personal development and social change.

Your commitment can inspire the next generation to dream big!

MY EXPERIENCE IN ARUSHA, TANZANIA WITH KUKUA PAMOJA TANZANIA

I had a wonderful one-month volunteer experience in Arusha, Tanzania, working with Kukua Pamoja Tanzania, an NGO that runs multiple impactful programs. My focus was on the football program, where I assisted coaches in planning pitch training sessions for the kids. The players were incredibly disciplined, attentive, and eager to learn, following all instructions diligently. The process was smooth from the start, with all arrangements made in coordination with Ayoub, the NGO's executive director. He picked me up from the hostel, introduced me to the program, and made sure I felt welcomed. My first day included a fantastic town tour, which allowed me to explore and get familiar with the area. In the following days, I actively participated in the football activities, and everything went seamlessly. The hostel where I stayed was clean, comfortable, and friendly—thanks to the warm staff. The entire program was well-organized and meaningful, as it genuinely touched the community and made a positive impact. Additionally, I was fortunate to be part of a five-day safari, visiting Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. The safari was absolutely gorgeous and unforgettable. I highly recommend Kukua Pamoja Tanzania to anyone interested in volunteering or experiencing Tanzania. I look forward to returning in the future!

AMAZING

I was a volunteer at Kukua Pamoja for two months. It was an incredibly great experience for me. They looked after me very well and I was able to learn a lot about life in Tanzania. Ayoub is an excellent guide and helps you with every problem, be it with the project itself, how to get around best and safest with public transportation or where to go for food ;) I really enjoyed my time there and would do it again and again!
