Teach English & Share Cultures on a Korean Island
Program Overview
Spend 4 or 8 weeks making a difference in the lives of children at a small public elementary school on Wonsando Island, South Korea. Through English lessons, games, songs, crafts, and cultural activities, you’ll help children discover new ways to learn while sharing a little of your own world with them.
You don’t need to be a professional teacher to make a meaningful contribution. Bring your ideas, share stories about your home country, and create fun activities that help children feel more confident using English and curious about other cultures. You’ll have opportunities to connect with students both in and beyond the classroom, building friendships through everyday conversations and shared experiences.
Life on Wonsando Island offers a different side of Korea, away from the busy city. Get to know a close-knit island community, experience local traditions, and enjoy the simple moments of daily life while learning about Korean culture firsthand.
With accommodation, orientation, and local support included, this program is a chance to share your language and culture, connect with children, and experience life in a Korean island village in a truly personal way. If you enjoy working with children and meeting people from different backgrounds, this could be a meaningful part of your time in Korea.
