Complement your studies with meaningful experiences in this program! The Ecuador Study and Intern – Latin American Studies Track comprises eight weeks of study, a service project once a week, plus an optional internship for 2 or 4 weeks after your studies.

During your two-month studies at Universidad de Cuenca, you can take a Spanish class based on your level and another course from these options:
- History of Ecuador and Latin America
- Natural Heritage of Ecuador
- Cultural Heritage of Ecuador

The service learning component involves working on a grassroots community project that depends on your interests or goals. It could be youth development, equine-assisted therapy, NGO management, or translation at a museum.

What is the weather like in Ecuador?

The average temperature in Ecuador is 25 degrees during December and May, when there is the most rainfall. During the dryer months from June to November, the average temperature is 21 degrees.
