Rhino and Elephant Conservation Volunteering in Zimbabwe
Program Overview
Find yourself in the company of passionate individuals and amazing wildlife in this volunteer project abroad. The Rhino and Elephant Conservation Volunteering in Zimbabwe is based on a conservancy private park, which is an hour and a half away from the capital city Harare. You will join a project famous for their rhino breeding and release program as well as successful anti-poaching efforts.
As a volunteer, you will learn about animal behavior and activities while playing a role in their conservation. Your duties will range from feeding to helping with the reserve’s upkeep. Each day will be different, which means you’ll have an exciting time in the park. Depending on the time of year, you could also assist with teaching and local community projects, including literacy in primary schools and a conservation club for children.
You don’t need specific skills and requirements to be a wildlife conservation volunteer in Zimbabwe. But you need to be open-minded, flexible, have a love for animals, and an interest in their conservation.
