Urban Greening and Horticulture Internship in South Africa
Intern in this urban greening and horticulture project, which is aimed at promoting environmental awareness within African communities and fighting climate change. This is a wonderful opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in these areas. You will work with a fast-growing environmental social enterprise on a project that inspires people from all over the world to enjoy greening. Established in 2010, the organization has already planted 18,000 trees in 200 beneficiary schools and deforested areas. As an intern, you will collaborate with specialists in their field and follow a varied schedule depending on the project’s current needs. You could help with tree care and vegetable growing at the tree nursery or assist in the planning and participating in planting days. To join, you must have experience in gardening and vegetable growing as well as have had some practice identifying trees and seed propagation. You must also have attempted a study in a related field and have a keen interest in environmental issues. You are asked to bring your own laptop if possible.
