Occupational Therapy Internship in Vietnam

Gain an insight into the work practices of a rehabilitation hospital in Ho Chi Minh City in this internship abroad. The first hospital in the entire southern region of Vietnam to specialize in rehabilitation and orthopaedics, their approaches include electrotherapy and physiotherapy. Their mission is to diagnose and treat patients as well as support those recovering from motor function illnesses and trauma surgery. They have a diverse patient demographic, so expect to be exposed to a wide range of cases.

Your placement will be shaped by the patients’ needs and the hospital’s priorities. You will experience different departments/rooms, such as occupational therapy and electrotherapy, as well as shadow doctors making diagnosis. You will work alongside locally trained staff and receive supervision by an expert. At the end of your internship, you will create a report or presentation to reflect on your learning and share recommendations with the local team.

This is an ideal program if you’re studying or have experience in medicine, human physiology, or occupational health. You're recommended to bring a laptop to complete your report/presentation and other activities.
