Media and Marketing Internship in Peru
Program Overview
Spend 4–12 weeks interning abroad for a nonprofit social enterprise that focuses on alleviating poverty as well as the preservation and conservation of cultural traditions in Peru. Working mainly in rural indigenous communities around Cusco, the organization enables women to generate income through ancient craft techniques. They also run and support other initiatives such as adult education programs, building projects, and teacher recruitment.
As a Media and Marketing Intern, you’ll take on tasks that vary according to your experience and interests. The social enterprise needs assistance with a range of activities, including research on the ancient practice of Peruvian weaving and traditional designs of Peruvian textiles. You’ll also have the opportunity to coordinate and work on multimedia projects for online content and marketing.
This Media and Marketing Internship in Peru program is available every Monday throughout the year. Experience with social media, online networking, website design and administration, photography, film, qualitative research are all assets. Some experience within one of these fields is required.
