Program Overview

Spend 4–12 weeks interning abroad in this journalism internship program in Ghana. You will work alongside and receive guidance from some of the country’s leading reporters and journalists. Placements are in a number of TV networks, radio stations and newspaper publications, and you can work in different organizations depending on your interest. You could also teach the basics of journalism, creative writing, and media classes in schools and sports academies.

As a Journalism Intern, you will gain valuable experience in this field while supporting Ghana’s media industry. You will also engage with the local community and have the opportunity to inspire ambitious students to become the next generation of journalists.

This is an ideal internship program whether you’re seeking or already have experience in media. You need to be self-motivated, flexible, and open to working with various local resources. As you’ll be traveling to Ghana, you must have a yellow fever vaccination and obtain a certificate as proof, which you will show upon entry into the country.
