Intensive Japanese Language and Culture Course(IJLC)
Program Overview
This course is offered for two to three weeks in summer and winter to deepen participants' understanding of Japanese language, culture, and society.
In addition to learning Japanese, participants can gain a deeper understanding of Japan through field trips, experiencing Japanese culture, and interacting with Kansai University students.

Summer 1: About 3 weeks in June
Summer 2: About 3 weeks in July
Winter 1: About 3 weeks from mid-January to early February
Winter 2: About 2 weeks from mid-February to late February

What are the course levels?
Participants will be placed into one of the following three levels according to their Japanese proficiency:
-Primary Class – For students who can read, write, and type Hiragana and Katakana and understand basic Japanese.
-Primary–Intermediate Class – For students with basic communication skills in Japanese (roughly JLPT N4–N3 level).
-Intermediate–Advanced Class – For students with intermediate to advanced proficiency (roughly JLPT N2 or higher)
Will I receive academic credits for this program?
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants with 80% or higher attendance. Please note that Kansai University itself does not award academic credits for this program. However, many students can have their home universities recognize the program for credits. We encourage you to share the certificate and transcript with your university and confirm the possibility of credit transfer directly with them.
