If you are able to come here, I would!

It was always a dream to come live abroad and experience Italy first hand. Italianforawhile was able to make that dream a reality for me. Coming here has been a life changing experience and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’m learning Italian, experiencing the culture, and meeting new friends for life. If you are able to come here, I would!

They were amazing at helping me

It has been my dream to return to Italy and to reconnect with my culture after being away for 20 years and Italian for a While made it possible. They were amazing at helping me with the entire process from applying for visa to fitting into the Italian culture, I always felt welcomed and supported, especially if I was finding it difficult to integrate into the culture. All in all, I definitely felt Italian for a while.

Dynamic and practical community

Given my naturally reserved nature, I needed to immerse myself in a dynamic and practical community to achieve my goal of speaking Italian. Thanks to Italian for a While and its collaboration with Accademia Italiana, I had the opportunity to experience the wonderful Neapolitan region in a unique way. Studying Italian in Naples allowed me not only to learn the language but also to immerse myself in Italian culture through organized activities, the knowledge of the teachers, and the time spent, alone or in groups, exploring the city and its surroundings. No matter which continent we came from, Italian was the common denominator and the only language to unite us. Naples, the lively, the noisy, the fascinating. See you soon.

give it a go

I am currently enjoying a 4 week stay in Rome studying Italian thanks to the wonderful team at Italianforawhile. This has been the most amazing experience from the initial correspondence to coordinating the details of my stay. Everyone I have engaged with on the Italianforawhile team has been so kind, supportive and helpful. Responses to emails were prompt and they have followed up to make sure I am doing well. I cannot say enough about how great this experience has been thanks to them. If you are curious about doing something like this I strongly encourage you to contact Italianforawhile and give it a go.
