Best 3 months of my life

The 3 months I spent in Prague were genuinely the best 3 months of my life. Everything was sorted before we arrived and once we arrived at the airport we were taken to our accommodation. I lived in an apartment in Prague 3 with 2 other girls, and it was a great location. I know some other people in our program had a longer commute from across the river to get to classes, so I think I might have gotten lucky with the accomodation location. If I remember correctly, there was a cleaner who came in once a week. The place was fully furnished and stocked with a full kitchen. There were also transit passes (if you selected the option to have ISA organize it for you pre-arrival) waiting for us in our apartment on the kitchen table. The program also arranged a few excursions throughout the semester to Vienna, Austria, and other places in the Czech Republic. The only downside was that I went in the fall of 2021 which was still when many colleges weren’t sending students abroad due to COVID, so we mostly just had classes with other students from my college. I assume during non-COVID times, the classes have many other international students. I somehow ended up having 4 day weekends, so that allowed me to travel a lot, which was the best part of this experience. I mostly took marketing classes, but the class selection was limited because of the lower number of students studying abroad in the program due to COVID.

10/10 I loved it!

The city of Prague and my study abroad experience changed my life! I gained a newfound self-confidence and was able to understand my emotions and future goals in a way I never had before. The accommodations were amazing, and the apartment I stayed in was nicer than any place I could rent in the States. I will be going back and I so very thankful for this experience!

Best semester of my life

I studied at the University of Economics in Prague fall 2018. It was one of the most enriching and exciting adventures I have ever been on. The staff for both pre-departure and at the ISA location in Prague were the kindest, most helpful people that really wanted us to succeed in the study abroad. The ISA staff in Prague were incredibly approachable and I felt completely comfortable talking to them and asking questions. Prague itself was an amazing place to go to school. There is always so much to do in the city and the country has such a unique history that is amazing to learn about first hand. ISA offers a high amount of independence, which I loved because I felt like I could do things my own way. This does mean that any immersion into the culture is really up to you and what you make with your time. Make sure to take advantage of being in such a cool city!!

Resting along the banks of the Vltava River, Prague has been the political, cultural, and economic hotspot of Eastern Europe for over 1000 years. With more than 1.2 million inhabitants in the city proper and a constant flow of international travelers, the Czech Republic’s bustling capital boasts global importance. Since 1992, Prague has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and for a good reason. The city is an unaltered, hands-on museum full of famous theaters and opera houses, open parks with political protest history, and centuries-old buildings converted into late-night discothèques. The galling years of communist rule linger in the minds of Czechs, and striking up a conversation on the subject brings out a history and culture lesson that could only be learned from the source ...
