Primary School Teaching in Stone Town, Zanzibar
As a teaching assistant, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with local teachers, incorporating educational games, singing, and fostering engagement through activities like arts and crafts, sports, drawing, coloring, and writing. Tailored for children aged 5 to 14 (grades K-7), our program enhances learning effectiveness. School hours are from 0800 to 1200 in the morning, and flexibility for additional working hours can be discussed with the local team upon your arrival in Zanzibar. Participants are expected to interact with students for a minimum of four hours or more daily, with breaks between sessions and occasional involvement in after-school activities. Effective lesson planning for the following day is also encouraged. Evening Teaching Program An evening teaching session will take place on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at a Community Center close to the accommodation. This program runs from 7 PM to 9 PM where you will be teaching students of different ages from 4 to 20 years old. You will be divided into groups where you will teach lessons prepared by you along with the local team.

Program Highlights
