The Elephant Care Program focuses on improving the well-being of elephants through age- and health-appropriate care. As a participant, you'll play a hands-on role in maintaining a clean, safe, and enriching environment for these gentle giants. Your week begins with an introduction to Asian elephants and a session on preparing traditional Thai herbal medicine, guided by experienced sanctuary staff. Program Highlights
Learn how to responsibly care for elephants by understanding their behavior, needs, and daily routines.
Plant, water, and maintain the elephant food area by growing grass, vegetables, bananas, pumpkins, squash, cucumbers, or other plants that elephants enjoy.
Prepare meals or assist in purchasing fresh food for the elephants from local markets.
Keep elephant living areas clean and safe by assisting with daily habitat maintenance.
Stay near the beach on the stunning island of Koh Samui while making a positive impact.
