Accredited 120-hour online TEFL course

I had a few hours doubting the course (unanswered email late at night), but from the minute they responded and got my account working (for what seems like it was my typo in the email, though I feel like there should always be a second email box to flag an input inconsistency), everything then worked well.Interesting course.

I'll tell you, if this company (or when, surely) sorts out their website to something modern and decent looking, it's going to kill it! The course is excellent and worth far more than the ridiculously low price I paid (times must be tough in the TEFL world! It must be the only industry that hasn't seen ridiculous inflation lately). Anyway, I digress, it's a clean course with a fair bit of interactivity, lots of reading, some videos that aren't just a lecture but get you involved with a real class being instructed, and lots of that kind of thing. I'm still in shock that I was able to download my cert without having to pay anything else (I'll be honest, I half expected a pop-up, but nope). I checked the verify link 24 hours later since it said to give it some time to get populated, and it worked. If I sound overly positive, that's because I am! Keep expectations reigned in though - it's not without fault but it is the best course I could find on the market for my cashflow.

You won't hear a bad word from me about this course as I paid under 30 bucks and found myself actually learning something when I figured it'd mainly be a waste of time until downloading my TEFL cert of course! It actually legit tries to take you through the motions of teaching EFL. Everything works and you get a digital cert. Champion!

So, there are of course imperfections, but I won't dwell on those considering it was thirty bucks or something. For instance, it'd be nice to have the option for longer or more specialized courses, but this is standard from what I read pre-course. Things work well and there are good resources to power through.

As I said, this gave me a good foundation for teaching English online. It’s now been a couple of months since I finished (whoops, forgot to review), and a lot of the stuff I learned has been clearly useful in the past month since I got my first 2 students. The online teaching tips and unit were spot on.

I was a bit reluctant to study at distance but it turned out well!! There’s nothing hard about this course, though it does require commitment to learn the topics well before taking the quizzes. There are good teaching videos and explanations for everything important. It was very cheap.

I can easily say this is a legitimate course that tries to train you how to teach English. I think it'd be nice to have even more videos, though it's nice that it had some. The valuable videos are the assessment ones you watch of real teachers. I found most things easy to understand and finished feeling pretty comfortable with the idea of teaching online. As others have said, this certificate has been accepted where I've uploaded it for work.

It’s cheap and teaches you what you need to know as a first time teacher (I believe). There’s nothing too difficult about it but it does take some time to work through the reading (just skim it!) and assessments, which are multi choice on the whole.

The course, the staff, the videos, the network o environment, the layout, it is all wonderful and with recomendacion strong from me. I have learned a lot in my 4 weeks and I am a stronger teacher for taking the course.

So it took me a little longer than I expected, which speaks dividends of the course, I'd say, because I actually wanted to learn the content properly (well, most of it! I already have 6 months teaching experience years ago, but I found most units really useful). I They did a great job breaking everything into smaller parts and boxes with tips and online teaching information, and that line. The behaviour management tips, lesson panning, and activity ideas is all fantastic. Also, I hadn't realised it until a tutor pointed it out, but on their homepage near the bottom is a job recruiter link generator - it saved me some time.

When you think of how cheap this is, it's hard to imagine it'll be any good. Surprisingly, everything about it is great (with a few asides that we'll get to in a minute...I'll try to keep it short). Login is easy and it's on a nice, fast site; text is informative and gets to the point (it also looks organised (so if you're anything like me and can't stand plain then you'll like this); there are videos and a nice interactive review section on all or most lessons (not sure if anything was missing); and the quizzes and little practice thingies are fine (I'm guessing they're there to 'water' the learning or whatever that memrise app termed it as years ago). So those things are great. You just swish your way through the text, get some learning done, then get your assessments tucked away. It's straightforward. Once I clicked to finish the final quiz, I got asked to enter my details again, and there was my certificate freshly off the digital matrix for me to download. That was easy. The buts and howevers are small, but you need to beware of them (I think). There's not really any job support: the homepage has a little thingie where you can click it and get some links, but it's not support by my understanding of the word. I get the feeling 'tutor support' doesn't really mean the same thing for these automated TEFL courses either as it's more like technical support. I'm convinced it's one of those gimmicky buzz words they use in TEFL, as I cannot see how you'd ever need to actually ask a teaching question because the answers are all there. Tech support is more accurate. Their tech support is good - that's the next point. One quiz seemed to want to befriend me and not let me get past, so I messaged and they did some magic to make it let me move past question 4. After that, no issues, but again, I had no need to get support so that selling point of tutor support is meaningless to me. This is in danger of being unbearably long. End note: I learned a bucketful of stuff about teaching English but not from a live tutor!

Not much to say other tan it went as expected. The text was easy to read and had a nice bit of touch screen action going on. It was self paced, s9 I just beasted through it when I fancied cutting into it.

Paid $27, did some learning online about something I knew little about, took some quizzes and thought through some scenarios, then downloaded my certificate. It was an easy process and legit, so I'm not sure what else to say!

Staff respond quickly to my questions pre enrolment, but I have no need for support while I am studying. The course is straightforward but does give alots of opportunities to make the informations in memory. There are many good activities to keep me engaged.

Did I spend 120 hours on this? No. If I'd read everything and watched all the videos, etc., then yes, I could see how it might take that long, but if you just skim the text, do the activities and then sit the mandatory unit exams like I did, it'll take you far less time. What I liked most was that it was self paced, so there wasn't that micro managing that often goes on with forcing you to watch this or do that without reason. Sometimes I needed longer to understand parts, so I re-read them and spent time reading the activity feedback. Other things were more obvious. I finished in only 8 days but still felt like I learned a lot. The certificate is lovely and staff replied pretty fast the one time I emailed.

I definitely recommend this TEFL course form Intrepid. I'm not a particularly patient learner, but their content had enough to it to make it engaging and digestible. There were opportunities to learn about online teaching and planning reading lessons and similar stuff. What stood out to me was how each unit gave another angle on teaching, whether it was looking at culture or motivation and using games. I think it was put together in a nice and logical way. Tests are frequent but not too hard. I'd say it was a great overall mix of content and testing.

Loved the way the course was organized and clean. They did a really good job of giving info without being too verbose. I loved every part of the actual learning experience as it was just smooth and made sense. What did put me off initially, and almost made me go elsewhere, was the relative lack of info pre enrolment. Do better with having more pages about the course and this course will be all round great!

It took me 10 days from start to finish to get certified with I.T. The process was always very clear, and there wasn't any reason for me to need any tutor support. Content was very straightforward but equally as detailed, and quizzes were linked to what I learned. String recommendation from me for the price. Certificates are accepted for online teaching.

I got this from a Google search and figured I was maybe taking a chance, but it turned out very well. I think their website doesnt actually do their course justice. The course is superb and staff actually respond very quickly, which I hadn't figured on for the price, but they need to add more to their website to mirror their content. It's a bargain - don't be put off by their minimal style!

It's mostly excellent: tutors are friendly and knowledgeable, there's so much textual knowledges (with A.I. videos that narrate it - not great but better than having just text, and for the price its hard to complain), and the activities are good for making the theory to think practically. It's a strong course.
