Special Needs In Argentina

I was blessed to live in Villa Allende, Cordoba, Argentina for 3 weeks and volunteer at a local special needs facility. The facility was amazing as it was filled with the most loving and caring people. I would look forward to going everyday just to see the smiles on all of their faces. The staff was amazing because you could just tell how much they cared for these wonderful adults. It truly was an enriching experience.
The placement itself was wondering because it was only a 15-20 minute walk from the volunteer house and because work did not start until 2pm meaning that you have time to sleep in, eat lunch and then go to work. The facility was colourful and you truly felt safe, comfortable, and welcomed there. IVHQ did a wonderful job of picking this location - the staff is amazing, the adults are incredible. I would without a doubt recommend this organization - and the Argentina trip - to anyone looking for a volunteer experience unlike any other.
I have nothing but fond memories of this place and cannot that IVHQ and Argentina enough for their hospitality and friendliness.

Hi Alexandra, It’s so great to hear from you. Thanks for sharing a little from your experience volunteering in Argentina. It sounds like you had an idyllic volunteer abroad experience and we are glad that we could be part of facilitating this. Thanks for being an IVHQer!
