Many senior citizens in Argentina find themselves in desperate situations due to limited access to work or housing, and breakdowns in family or social bonds. The Elderly Care project focuses on providing encouragement, protection and assistance to elders with limited resources, or those facing abandonment. Volunteers on this project have the opportunity to interact, learn from, and provide care to elders in a local community center. Each day, the elders receive breakfast and lunch, and take part in recreation activities, including art workshops, yoga, singing, adapted gymnastics, hairdressing, podiatry and professional psychological assistance.
