The Kindergarten project supports government-owned centers and those wholly supported by IVHQ’s partner organization in Ubud, Bali. It is for local children aged 3 to 7 years old, mainly from poor villages around the Ubud area. The children are able to attend kindergarten free of charge and gain a head start on their English education before they begin formal schooling. Few foreigners travel to these villages and the children will be exceptionally welcoming and excited to see you. Volunteers need to genuinely love working with children and understand their behavior, as you will be surrounded by plenty of them every day and their friendliness can sometimes become overwhelming (they are children after all)! Embrace the culture, love the experience
by: Maria Filipa SousaProgram: Kindergarten Volunteering in Ubud, BaliMy favorite moment from the volunteer experience was that I had the opportunity to be there during the silent day and to learn about Bali’s culture. Don’t be hesitant! Just do it! It’s a little bit scary during the first week but it’s just the first days. You’ll get used to everything and you’ll really enjoying it! Go with an open mind, it’s a completely different culture but it’s really worth it. I loved it.
Bali best experience

Volunteering was an unbelievable idea I had since I was in school, an adventure I always wanted to be part of and a dream I’ve always had since I discovered the volunteering world. When the idea of coming to Bali came to my mind, I couldn't be more excited and happy about having my dream becoming true. The application was ready and my 32 flying hours we're almos...
IVHQ - Ubud, Bali: kindergarten & turtle conservation amazing experience!
by: Delphine Devos - CanadaProgram: Kindergarten Volunteering in Ubud, BaliI volunteered in Ubud, Bali for a total of 7 weeks. I helped out as a kindergarten teacher for 4 weeks. Every day I would have a little lesson planned for the kids; I would handout some worksheets, play games with them and be there for their breakfast/lunch. The kids were so loving and full of energy! I loved being by their side every singl...
