Volunteer and Teach English in Morocco

This program enables volunteers to work in disadvantaged communities across Morocco to assist with English language learning for children and adults. You’ll help expand access to English education, which opens doors to further education and employment for many local learners.

The program offers regularly scheduled start dates and duration options to suit different schedules and stays.

• Start dates are every first and third Monday of each month.
• Duration options range from 2 up to 24 weeks.
• Volunteers commit to up to 5 hours per day on placement.
  

To participate, you must meet certain age, language competency and documentation requirements to ensure you’re prepared and supported.

• Must be aged 18 or older on the program start date; families are also eligible to join.
• You must speak English fluently and have adequate volunteer travel insurance for the duration of your stay.
• Volunteers aged over 18 must provide a criminal background check before arrival; while experience is not required

Your role involves supporting language education in under-resourced communities and helping learners build foundational English skills through structured activities. Tasks include assisting in or leading English language lessons, running small group workshops, tutoring students and developing engaging activities or games to reinforce learning.

Volunteers are placed in Moroccan host-family homestays in community settings that support cultural immersion alongside the volunteer experience. 

• Accommodation is in cities like Rabat, Casablanca or Sale; you share a room with other same-gender volunteers and meals are included.
• Receive orientation and benefit from in-country support throughout your stay.
• You’re encouraged to explore Morrocan culture history, and travel opportunities on free time.
