I felt at home and make friends from all around the world
June 13, 2023by: Regina Santín MorenoProgram: Kindergarten Volunteering in Bali - Lovina with IVHQ
This volunteer helped me to grow as a person and I felt that I was doing something to make the world better. I loved the local team. They were always trying to make me feel at home as well as they were very supportive when I needed help. My highlight from the experience was helping others and getting to know new people from all around the world. The gratefulness of the people that I helped made the biggest impact from the volunteer trip. What I would say to someone still hesitant about volunteering abroad is you won’t regret it. It is the most wonderful experience I ever had. I felt at home and make friends from all around the world. Plus you are making some good for the world.
It can be scary to go to another country
May 15, 2023by: Fruzsina KissProgram: Kindergarten Volunteering in Bali - Lovina with IVHQ
My last day at the kindergarten when the children were saying goodbye they were so adorable, I already miss them. I will never forget how the children in the kindergarten shared their food with the ones who couldn’t bring anything for lunch. It was so nice to see them playing together and how happy they are to meet with the volunteers from all over the world. I know it is a cliche but it is so true that you should do things that you are afraid of and those will be your best memories. It can be scary to go to another country to a hole new culture, but always remember that you will be surrounded by people how feels the same way.
The local team was extremely friendly
December 14, 2022by: Tanaya ChakrabortyProgram: Kindergarten Volunteering in Bali - Lovina with IVHQ
The local team was extremely friendly and made feel very comfortable from the moment I arrived. There was an instant positive impact on my after volunteering and it made me feel good to meet a lot of people and give back to the community. My favorite moment was meeting people from all over the world who have gone through different experiences and have come together to serve purpose. The biggest impact my volunteering trip had on me was there is enough good in the world and it is important to give back to people and nature. What I would say to other volunteers is to let go of their fears and try new things.
