Volunteers on the Medical program in Cordoba support community clinics and hospitals serving low-income neighbourhoods with limited access to healthcare. You may assist doctors and nurses with tasks such as taking blood pressure, weighing patients, recording information, preparing materials, observing treatments, and supporting general clinic duties. Qualified professionals may take on more responsibility, while students focus on learning and assisting under supervision.
This program suits medical or nursing students, graduates, or professionals seeking international healthcare experience. Extensive experience is not required, as local staff guide your work. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, cultural sensitivity, and interest in patient care are essential.
Volunteers can join for two to 24 weeks, usually up to five hours per day. Homestay accommodation is included, along with airport pickup, orientation, weekday meals, shared accommodation with upgrade options, and ongoing support. In your free time, you can explore Cordoba, enjoy local food and culture, practise Spanish, and experience daily life in Argentina.
