Get TEFL Certified & Teach English in Italy!

One of the most significant factors for myself was the location of my in-person TEFL course in Florence. Not only did I want to make sure that the school itself (Florence) was in a location both accessible and easy to find on a daily basis, but located in a city that I could find myself able to live in comfortably for the duration of the course. An added bonus factor was the friendliness and active communication from those at the course location (Stephanie, course director) and the ITA staff in general. This really helped ensure that I made the right decision, and that I was going to be taken care of while living abroad and earning my certification.

This class is great and I feel much more prepared to start this journey than ever before. It will help you understand what your job is going to be and will help you to understand certain things about going to another country. How to be respectful of other cultures which is just as important as teaching us how to teach. There is no program that does this better than TEFL.

I have been doing some practice teaching while taking the ITA TEFL certification. The difference between the quality of my teaching before and after the course is the same as night and day. I had no idea how powerful the student centered approach could be until I took the ITA TEFL certification course. I highly recommend it.

ITA was such an awesome experience and I am not disappointed at all because everything my advisor told me, I got!! My expectations were meant and I feel prepared to teach in a classroom with everything I have learned in ITA. And I’m not even worried about forgetting because they provide a lot of videos that you can always go back and watch even once the course is over. Before completing the TEFL course, I was excited about teaching, but had very little idea of what direction I wanted to go in, and more so, I was nervous... some might even say terrified! Having since finished the course, I feel READY to begin teaching. This course is incredibly informative and is structured in a way to build you up towards your ultimate goal of becoming a teacher. The content covers a huge range of areas that will be relevant to a future career in teaching and the support system from the instructors and other pupils is like no other. I would highly recommend this program to any and all people considering teaching, even as a prospective career. What a great qualification to have in the bag, no matter where you end up!

Absolutely essential to begin your journey to teaching abroad, simplistic yet effective material, applicable to your future as a teacher! From the course material, to the instructor and job search guidance. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I always felt comfortable in the studies but also when trying to contact an instructor or job search guidance. I would recommend this course to anyone who is beginning to teach abroad. Especially if you are someone like myself who is making an entire career change into the teaching field. This made me feel more comfortable about this life changing event!

I took the online course and can very much say I feel prepared to go overseas and start teaching! With the online course you're very much able to swing a job, social life and still have time to complete the course quizzes/tasks/peer participation in a timely matter. Highly recommend!

They have guided me every step of the way. Seeing videos of TEFL students before me living their dreams in all parts of the world motivated me to pursue my own dreams and take the course. The course itself will challenge and prepare you to be the kind of language teacher you always wanted to have in your foreign language class.

This course was a wake up call for me. The assignments required some research and it took me a little bit extra time and effort to do them but it was worth it. The course taught me everything I need to know within 10 weeks that most people learn in 4 months. My instructor was always there for me whenever I had a question. My peers were very respectful and good folks. If you plan on taking this course, ITA is the only place for you because they will make sure that you know the material well.

The TEFL academy is allowing me the opportunity to live my wildest dreams. I am excited to have the most adventurous time of my life while working for people that desire to grow and learn as much as I do.

Great course! I am living in Germany and took the Online TEFL Course. I loved the course. What I have learned is helping me teach the refugees at the Dusseldorf Welcome Center. When I first arrived in Germany I was looking for opportunities to help in some way. I found the Refugee Welcome Center in downtown Dusseldorf. I was asked to teach English. I started volunteering my services almost immediately. I have never taught English before. Ironically my college degree is in English, but that didn't provide me with the proper tools to teach the language to non natives. The online TEFL course has changed that. I feel much more confident now with teaching English as a second language. I definitely am applying what I have learned through the online course!

I researched many TEFL programs for over a month before going with ITA, and I am so glad that I did. I ended up finding ITA early on in my searches and loved everything that it offered, and while looking into other programs I just kept thinking of how much more ITA provided and decided to go for it. I loved being able to do the work online because I work 3 jobs and needed something to fit into my schedule. This course has gave me the knowledge and understanding on how to be an effective teacher. I cannot wait to start teaching online and eventually go abroad to teach!

This course was the best of both worlds - it taught theory/cultural awareness as well as very practical tips/skills for teaching and preparing lesson plans. I am confident that either (1) I know what I need to know stepping into a classroom, (2) or I now have the lifelong resources to find it.

Everything about TEFL Academy is solid. Course content is great, instructors are knowledgable and affable, and support from the school is excellent. Definitely recommend them if a TEFL certification is what you want and need.

This course provided me with all the right tools; I feel confident about my future as a teacher abroad. I especially commend the job search guidance! My advisor completely helped me along the way, and even offered to look over any contracts before I signed. I cannot recommend this program enough. Well worth the price. It'll definitely pay off in the end with a rewarding experience abroad as an educator.

I am about to finish my online course and I have been very pleased with my experience with International TEFL Academy. The coursework was straightforward and the instructor was always available for questions and gave helpful feedback in a timely manner. I feel like I have a better idea of lesson planning, which I had no clue about when I started the course. I feel more confident in my teaching abilities, and I think the practicum will also help me put what I've learned in this course into action. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

Great program to enroll in. If you want your TEFl certificate this is the place to come. Great classes and guidance. If you don't understand something they provide plenty of resources and help. Each step you take there is someone that is there with you.

Honestly, I think this course was great. Some people might think it expensive, but it has massive amounts of information and actually teaches you how to teach, which is the hardest part about teaching! It also gives you lifetime job search guidance, that is awesome. The instructors are fun and knowledgeable and they really take the time to answer all the questions you have. Overall, I would take this course again and I feel that just as an online course, it has prepared me to be an ESL teacher more than I expected it could. If anyone is interested in becoming an ESL teacher and wants a great education on how to do so, go with ITA :)

I had a very good classroom experience. The lessons were concisely written and easy to understand. There were videos throughout as well. The instruction was very good. The only downside is that I noticed that some of the students were not keeping up with the assignments throughout the course.

This course is fantastic! International TEFL Academy provides so much support and guidance throughout the entire process and course. Instructors are knowledgeable and helpful. Readings and tasks are relevant and help you build on important skills you will need as a teacher. Highly recommend to anyone considering teaching abroad!
