International House Riviera Maya is a part of IH World, a globally recognized network of schools present in more than 150 countries.

Opened in 2004, IH Riviera Maya is located in Playa del Carmen, a beautiful coastal resort town on Mexico's Caribbean coast.

We are committed to teaching Spanish and English with the highest standards in teaching methodology and cultural development. We offer our students the best choice in language learning.

We have designed a teaching system which helps students learn and develop the four language skills of reading, writing, speaking, and listening in the best way possible.

In the case of our Spanish students, we complete their immersion in the Mexican culture with a broad social program that integrates a variety of activities, such as Mexican cooking classes, salsa lessons, a tour of the city, a cocktail night, and excursions. We also provide them with opportunities for language exchange with university students and homestay accommodations with Mexican families for that complete immersion experience.

English students, on the other hand are provided with the necessary tools to develop any activity in any environment with English as a second language. Our levels are assessed by the Cambridge English Language Assessment certifications.

Apart from having experience and university degrees, our teachers have specific training regarding language teaching, and international certifications that prove this.
