I was generally very pleased with the guidance and support I received from InternHQ - every staff involved was very helpful and accommodating to answer my questions and queries. What I enjoyed the most from the Business Development internship was the experience of life in Tokyo, and the friends I've made there. This internship provided me with real-world experience, and helped me gain some insights into what I want to do professionally in the future. I really wished that it could've lasted a bit longer.

The Business Development internship in Japan gave me practical exposure to working in an international business environment. I acquired transferable skills (such as cross-cultural communication, adaptability, and reading both verbal and non-verbal workplace cues) and also learned to navigate unfamiliar systems with confidence, which will be invaluable in any global-facing role. The internship has empowered me in my field because I have proven that I can operate in a new system, bridge operations with digital outreach, and communicate across language and style differences. I’m less intimidated by ambiguity & I know how to set micro-goals, document processes, and escalate issues early. The internship will springboard and launch my career into the area of consulting, operations & strategy work in Business.

I enjoyed exploring a new country while learning the perspectives and the experiences of others that have been a part of my journey. The Marketing & Communications internship in Japan has refined my communication and organization skills. It has also helped me to develop in becoming more precise and more accurate with the quality of my work.
