Low Cost Business Internships in Bali with Intern Abroad HQ!

When I first started co-op back in June 2022, my goal was clear: I wanted an international placement - whether in Canada or anywhere else in the world. After having little luck in the Canadian job market, I applied for an internship with Intern Abroad HQ in Bali, and it turned out to be another one of those best decisions I’ve ever made. Intern Abroad HQ arranged my housing, where I lived in a quiet neighbourhood among the locals, and I interned in Denpasar at a high-end Design Studio, as a Sales, Brand Partnerships, and Marketing Intern. During my time there, I gained hands-on experience with inventory tracking, barcoding systems, and cold outreach for brand partnerships across Bermuda, the US, and the UK. I also visited their retail store in Nusa Dua, where I shot, edited, and created Instagram reels to promote their products. Needless to say, I stayed busy! A huge thank-you to Intern Abroad HQ for making this experience so meaningful. I can’t wait to visit again soon.

I feel more empowered to be successful in my field. This is from interacting with guests on an international level. This helped me get a better understanding of different cultures. I also feel that this can only be accomplished by working abroad. From working in the U.S., you get used to working with American employees, so there isn't much of a cultural difference. However, from adapting and working with Indonesian employees, it helps me get a better understanding of how to work with different cultures better.
