I feel that I received the necessary support throughout the internship. Whenever doubts arose or we had questions regarding the assigned tasks, they were always available to answer our questions clearly and in a timely manner. What I enjoyed the most about this internship was the working dynamic with my partner; the challenge of receiving 'raw' projects from the company and having to research, debate, and solve real-world problems from scratch on our own. Professionally, this experience served as the perfect bridge to apply university and certification theory to real-world scenarios, giving me the confidence to pursue a full-time position in the field. Personally, it maximized my autonomy, my adaptability when facing uncertainty, and the value of teamwork, motivating me to keep refining my skills and my English proficiency for upcoming global challenges.

Extremely helpful and quick responses to address any of my questions or concerns. I loved my experience with my host family. They spoke no English which was difficult at times but useful to help me practice, especially with other students. I enjoyed meeting new people and trying new things ultimately. I felt fully supported throughout and feels as thought I have improved many skills in this time, including the language. The internship will contribute towards my professional development because it helps to bring ‘sustainability’ to life for me in a real-life, different context. I enjoyed the level of responsibility in the internship too, for example presenting in meetings and in workshops. I look forward to continuing my studies in Spanish and utilising the skills that I have learnt.

I had an incredible experience in Cordoba, Argentina. My internship taught me about the political impact I can personally have in these contexts and my ability to adapt quickly. I worked on a project that educates local government bodies on Migration management and had the chance to meet with the ambassador of Costa Rica. I learnt about a whole new way of expressing and receiving love on a grand scale and will forever be grateful for my Program Manager and Local Team for making this possible. Thank you!

The ability to immerse myself in Argentine culture was highly educational and enjoyable. Although I dealt with some very normal discomfort, confusion, and homesickness initially, the people of Córdoba quickly made me feel welcomed and included. My time at my placement helped me to improve not my intercultural awareness, my ability to adapt into new workplace environments and my overall knowledge and experience within the field of marketing. This is a valuable experience to point to with future employers, and will continue to serve me down the line in terms of my cultural, linguistic, and professional development.

I enjoyed the structure of the program immensely. I felt like they provided a perfect combination of work-related experience, cultural activites, Spanish lessons, and free time so we were able to explore on our own. Generally, I felt very well taken care of by the program coordinators, and I felt like they were always there to help me whenever I needed anything! This program helped me develop my personal and professional goals by providing me the study abroad experience I had always wanted, while still helping me learn about my career of interest. Everyone was very accommodating and they really wanted to make sure that everyone had the best experience possible. 10/10 would recommend!

I enjoyed learning about the health system in another culture and also being able to get to know more about the culture through our host parents as well as improve our Spanish through daily conversations with them.

I loved getting to know the program directors and people in my program through our nighttime classes. The hospital and Spanish classes taught me a lot, but being immersed in Argentine activities like mate class was such a great way to make friends, practice the language, and learn more about the culture. I love the closeness and openness that Argentine people have with each other. I feel much more empowered to ask questions even when I think it might be annoying or an inconvenience. In the hospital I got a lot of reassurance that my questions were good and the doctors took a lot of time to answer them and make me feel heard.

The program managers were very helpful and gave me enough information and support for me to feel comfortable in Argentina. I enjoyed meeting the other students in the program and the program directors who were super supportive during my 4 week stay. I also enjoyed staying with my host family, they were great people, my host mom cooked amazing food, and I will miss them greatly. My internship placement also allowed me to meet wonderful people who care a great deal about their community and the lives/ health of the mothers and children in that community. The children at my internship placement were very caring, sweet kids, and they were very respectful towards me. Overall, this experience was amazing and I came from it feeling better about my ability to immerse myself in a new culture with an open mind.

I enjoyed every minute I've been able to be here in Córdoba. I have loved this experience and it has truly changed my life and helped me figure out what I want to do when I am older and out of school. This internship propelled me further towards my long-term goals of working within the healthcare field. Not only have the experiences allowed me to apply what I had learned in a classroom, but they have also allowed me to picture myself working alongside other doctors in a hospital setting. If anything, this internship and learning experience has set me up for success with regards to the career path I intend to pursue.
