Frequently Asked Questions

Do I really not need a student visa for this program?

If you are a U.S. citizen (or a citizen of another country exempt from short-stay Schengen visas), you do not need a student visa. We have specifically engineered the ISP to last less than 90 days. This allows you to enter Spain as a student-tourist, saving you hundreds of dollars in consulate fees and months of administrative paperwork. It is the ideal solution for students who decide to study abroad later in the application cycle.

How does the "Block Model" curriculum work?

Instead of juggling four or five classes simultaneously all semester, you focus on one subject at a time. Each intensive course lasts approximately 3 to 4 weeks. This immersive approach allows you to dive deep into complex topics like Criminology or Political Science without the distraction of other subjects. You will complete three of these intensive blocks, alongside one core course that runs throughout the full term, totaling 12 U.S. semester.

What is included in the program fee?

We provide a "turnkey" experience so you can focus on your studies. The all-inclusive fee covers your tuition (12 U.S. credits), housing in a vetted student residence or with a local host family, and all daily meals. Additionally, the fee includes comprehensive medical insurance, local transportation cards for the Madrid region, and guided cultural excursions to historic sites.
