Program Overview
Through World Internships, we offer placements in the field of Sustainable Tourism Management in New Zealand. This is open to both interns and volunteers.
Participants will be placed in a nonprofit organization in the backpacking industry, where they will learn about various programs that focus on the development of hostels into Sustainable Living Centers, or SLCs, to minimize their impact on New Zealand's environment.
SLCs also provide the opportunity for travelers to gain knowledge and experience in conservation practices that are easily transferable to their local communities.
