Museum and Tourism Internships in New Zealand
Program Overview
Are you fascinated with the enchanting culture and heritage of New Zealand? You will have the chance to explore and gain exposure to these through our Museum and Tourism Internships!
Grab the opportunity to dive into the country’s history and cultural heritage as well as learn further about its tourism industry. You will work as part of an outstanding team, providing exceptional experiences and quality service to visitors. You will help ensure their safety, as well as the staff, and the museum’s security by implementing sufficient operating policies and procedures. You will take on a supervisory role at the museum upon request. For eight weeks to 16 weeks, depending on your preferred duration, you will develop expertise in leading museum tours and driving retail sales. You will also assist with inventory and rehousing of items at the collections department.
You will gain an in-depth understanding of the Maori, as you intern in New Zealand, a highly diverse island nation that lets you discover a range of natural environments, from glaciers to beautiful beaches, within a few hours of travel.
