GoAbroad

Gain an in-depth insight into South Africa’s human rights scene through our law internship within the new Constitution. This is also open to volunteers as this is a multifaceted program that places you in a law office and allows you to develop as a humanitarian and prepare for a highly competitive job. You will work under the supervision of an attorney, who will teach you many things about handling legal cases. You will help with research and sit in during client consultations, even court proceedings! For four weeks to 12 weeks, immerse in experiences you don’t normally encounter in classroom settings. Our placements provide excellent opportunities. Other than human rights, you can intern in more traditional sectors, like environmental and corporate. No matter the placement, you will enjoy a unique internship! You will work with a legal firm or local NGO and work directly with the Parliament in terms of human rights advocacy.
