Cultural Study & History Internships in New Zealand

Add first reviewSince 1999

If you are fascinated with history or cultural study in New Zealand, our internships are ideal opportunities. For 8 to 16 weeks, this program allows you to gain experience at a museum that uses storytelling techniques to showcase the unique characteristics of Wellington - from the Maori’s first settlement to today’s society. You may spend time in the museum’s various divisions - exhibitions, research, collection, education, retail, visitor services, and marketing - or focus on a particular area. One of the best advantages of interning in New Zealand is that you will stay in a demographically, ecologically, and geographically diverse island nation. You will discover contrasting terrains, from beautiful beaches to majestic glaciers (for instance), within a few hours of exploration. Most of all, you will gain an in-depth look into the recognition and preservation of the Maori as an indigenous culture. Of course, get the chance to engage in exhilarating outdoor sports - white water rafting, bungee jumping, kayaking, skydiving, and more! You will also share in the nation’s love for rugby, so don’t miss watching a local game!
