Build up on your skills in the arts during this internship abroad! IGS works with many of the world’s top theaters, from Broadway to community theaters. These are small to mid-sized theaters offering real responsibilities and duties. Past interns have commented on the family atmosphere of their placement as well as the ease of meeting people they had things in common with. Some of the theaters may be in session with ongoing productions, while others may be working behind the scenes in preparation for the next big event. We partner with theaters that allow our students to move between departments, including social media and marketing. Duties usually involve the following: Social media Marketing Set design Ticket office Construction Community outreach Online research
Program Highlights
Gain exposure to set design and the production crew in theaters, and see how these different aspects come together.
Have the opportunity to act in a production if you’ve set your heart on performing on stage.
Participate in a range of tasks, from helping build backdrops to assisting the technical director.
