Join this volunteer program in Athens and work with food rescue organizations, shelters, and soup kitchens to help deliver nutritious meals to individuals and families. Together, we can reduce food waste and make a lasting difference in local communities. You will work alongside food rescue organisations, including shelters and community kitchens, to ensure nutritious meals reach beneficiaries. What to expect? • Help redistribute food to those in need. • Work alongside local volunteer teams to ensure food reaches the people who need it most. • Assist in collecting, packing, storing, and distributing food donations. Daily tasks: • Help sort and organize food into meal boxes. • Participate in collecting surplus food, mainly from markets, to be distributed to beneficiaries. • Help organize containers, wash and dry equipment, and store food in fridges and freezers. • Organize and prepare meal boxes for distribution to families and beneficiaries. • Ensure quality by carrying out checks on meals and packaging. • Confirm the list of beneficiaries and distribute food to individuals and families in need.
