The Animal Care Project offers volunteers the opportunity to support the welfare of abandoned cats in local shelters. These non-profit organizations aim to protect cats, raise awareness about animal abandonment, and facilitate adoptions into loving homes.

What to expect:
• Support the care and well-being of abandoned cats.
• Help maintain a clean and safe environment for the animals.
• Participate in events to promote animal adoption and raise awareness.

Daily tasks:
• Maintain clean living spaces for the cats.
• Assist with feeding the cats.
• Provide companionship by playing and socializing with the cats.
• Help maintain outdoor spaces.

A confidence boosting first solo travel experience 😊

I had an amazing time in Barcelona and met some lovely people both through the volunteering and the organisation of the trip! The communication beforehand was really great and I felt comfortable and welcomed before I’d even arrived; it has definitely changed the way I look at my future😁 Best wishes to everybody on the team and those who are looking to take part as well, I would recommend this experience to anyone, it can be a scary thought at first but is such a confidence booster!! Thank you❤️

Short but fulfilling week in Barcelona!

While I only stayed for one week, I had an amazing time in Barcelona. The coordinators are extremely helpful and always contactable, and make sure you’re set up well at the hostel and with public transport in the first couple days. Looking after the cats each day was an amazing experience, no matter how what task I was given. Would definitely come back!

A Great Way to Give Back

I ended up staying in the program for a week. I loved working with the cats and the people there, who were all really sweet. The program coordinator makes sure you get there the first day and is always responsive to and questions you have. Overall, I would 100% go back!
