Impact Volunteers Africa

Impact Volunteers Africa (IVA) connects international volunteers with structured, ethical and self-funded conservation programs across Southern Africa. We work with established local projects that focus on wildlife conservation, marine research, animal rehabilitation, biodiversity monitoring and community-supported conservation. Our aim is to give volunteers the opportunity to experience Africa in a meaningful and responsible way while supporting genuine conservation work. Depending on the program, volunteers may assist with wildlife monitoring, habitat protection, research activities, marine surveys, rehabilitation support, conservation education or practical reserve tasks. All IVA programs are carefully selected with ethical conservation in mind. We do not promote exploitative wildlife tourism or unnecessary animal interaction. Instead, we focus on responsible, hands-on learning experiences that support local teams and long-term conservation goals. IVA supports volunteers from their first enquiry and application through to the end of their placement. We help match each person with a program that suits their interests, travel dates, experience level and goals, making the process simple, personal and supportive.
