Join our Ocean Research & Marine Conservation Program in Mozambique and become part of meaningful marine research in one of Africa’s most spectacular coastal environments.

What marine animals might I see?

Depending on the season and ocean conditions, you may encounter manta rays, sharks, sea turtles, seahorses, reef fish and humpback whales. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.

How long can I join the program for?

The Ocean Research & Marine Conservation Program is available for stays of approximately 2–12 weeks, allowing you to choose a duration that suits your travel plans.

Do I need marine research experience?

No previous marine research experience is required. Volunteers receive training and guidance from the program team and learn practical research and conservation techniques during their stay.

What accommodation is available?

Different accommodation options are available, including shared accommodation, seafront shared en-suite accommodation and a private ocean suite, depending on availability and your preference.
