Summer Course Interior and Showroom Design - IED Milan

This three-week summer course introduces the Italian design industry and current interior design trends, equipping you with the skills to produce layouts for high-level showrooms and shops with essential expressive value. “Interior” refers to key spaces for improving everyday living: places to eat, shop, and read, as well as other public spaces.

You'll increase coherence and fluency in expressing ideas, pursue a narrative yet analytical approach to your work, and gain a better understanding of how to structure and develop a project following the Italian methodology – brief, concept, design, communication – selecting the right tools and applying them.

The synergy between lectures and practical training, supported by workshops and visits to relevant showrooms, shops, and exhibitions, provides you with a 360° view of Italian reality and design methodology, particularly Milanese.

This course is taught in English and starts each June. It is designed for qualified applicants, such as students in their final year of university studies in architecture, interior design, and industrial design, fresh grads, and young professionals interested in enriching their knowledge and understanding.
