Summer Course Innovation and Future Thinking - IED Barcelona
Program Overview
In the Summer Course in Innovation and Future Thinking, you'll be detecting signs of change, organizing ideas into comprehensible models, finding new ways to assess possible futures, identifying potential barriers and opportunities, and designing innovative ideas. It focuses on the strategic, innovative, and creative aspects of future thinking.
You'll start with data collection and modeling, and then explore and adopt narrative development, strategic foresight, and prototyping. You’ll find out how to effectively inform users about new products and services. You’ll apply this new know-how to a final project, providing solutions for problems.
This two-week summer course is for students and professionals from various fields and backgrounds who share a healthy interest in innovation and creative thinking. You'll study in Barcelona, a global design and innovation hub. The city itself will be your case study as you search for indicators, behaviors, messages, and signs to predict change.
This course is taught in English and starts each July.
